TED talks make great teaching tools. The shorter length makes them perfect for groups to watch and discuss together. They have a way of quickly creating a shared language and providing hooks for rich conversation.
On October 25, 2021, I introduced the Inclusive Leadership Development Model at the TEDx Wolcott College Prep in Chicago, Illinois. My talk was titled, “How to become an inclusive leader,” and I share my journey of finding belonging in engineering.
Since I often create guides to facilitate discussions related to other talks, I’ve prepared a guide for mine. When you download the guide below, you’ll find the list of forty questions divided by themes and the Inclusive Leadership Development Model components.
Guide Recommendations
- For discussions, select a subset of questions based on the audience.
- For independent reflections, it's best to pace yourself and consider journaling your thoughts.
