Engineer Inclusion

“Today we have a choice. Will we confront our many challenges only to reinstate the status quo? Or will we facilitate the work
clear-eyed through grounded action to usher in new and responsive systems?”

I’ve worked with and for the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) since 2009. The work we’ve done together is making a difference in our country, and I am proud to be a member of the NAPE team, now as a consultant and Educational Equity Instructor.

In April 2020, NAPE released a COVID-19 Recovery Position Statement, and it echos my sentiments and goals. With a desire to help increase the visibility of their words and my beliefs as well, I made this video that puts into motion their PDF statement that can be found here.

This season is a call to action. We must work together to challenge the status quo, stop racism, and radically address inequities, to create a better and more just world.
